Transportation information from Tokyo to the hotel after recent typhoon [ approx. until 23th October or ‘til further notice from Tobu Railway]:

Our hotel is operating normally with no damage from the recent typhoon. Traveling by car going to our hotel is not a problem. However, However, some Tobu Railways are not available for another several days as they were affected by the typhoon. When you’re traveling from Tokyo, take the JR line instead and not the Tobu line. Go to Utsunomiya by JR line from Ueno, Shinjuku, or Ikebukuro ( not Asakusa or Kitasenju). By JR line, go to Imaichi from Utsunomiya. From Utsunomiya you need to go to Shimoimaichi and you may travel on foot which would take about 12 minutes. From Shimoimaichi you take the Tobu line to Yunishikawa Onsen, then take the bus to Honke Bankyu. Please find the sample time table for the transportation is below: Shinjuku Station 12:09 → (JR Shonan Line) →Utsunomiya Station 13:52 Utsunomiya Station 14:29 →(JR Nikko)→Imaichi Station 15:03 Imaichi Station→(12 minute walk)→Shimoimaichi Station Shimoimaichi Station 15:31→ (Tobu Line bound for Aizu Tajima) →Yunishikawa Onsen Station 16:18 Yunishikawa Onsen Station 16:25 (Tobu Dial Bus )→16:45 Honke Bankyu Ryokan It will take more time than usual to make a connection, so we recommend you to come to our hotel earlier. Because the last bus starts from Yunishikawa Onsen Station at 5:15 PM Please be advised as well that Honke-Bankyu does not have a hotel transport service, so for visitors who miss the last bus trip they have to take a taxi to the hotel. For visitors who wish to take a taxi, a reservation is needed with taxi companies as there are no taxis waiting at Yunishigawa- Onsen Station. Since our dinner starts at 6:00 PM, if you plan to arrive at the hotel after 5:30 PM, please let us know in advance because the last order for our dinner is at 7:00 PM. After that, we no longer offer “irori” and “Kaiseki” dishes, so please arrive by 6:30 PM. We apologize for the inconvenience. We wish you a pleasant and smooth journey.
